NEW YORK, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Kyrie Irving scored 38 points to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 120-116 comeback win over the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco on Sunday.

The Nets outscored the Warriors 27-10 over the last seven minutes of the NBA thriller.

Royce O'Neale made a go-ahead three-pointer with 28.5 seconds left, and Irving took a pair of free throws to seal the win.

"Total team effort," said Irving, who was the main target of the Warriors' defense.

In Denver, Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander collected 34 points to help the Thunder snap the Nuggets' nine-game winning streak with a 101-99 win.

Without two-time MVP Nikola Jokic who suffered a hamstring injury, the Nuggets trailed much of the game until a tie of 99-99 with 30.2 seconds remaining.

However, Gilgeous-Alexander banked in a go-ahead basket with 9.2 seconds remaining and Denver's Jamal Murray missed the target at the buzzer.

In Portland, LeBron James scored 37 points as the Los Angeles Lakers cut a 25-point deficit to upset the Trail Blazers 121-112.

In Phoenix, the Suns squandered a 29-point advantage but fortunately tamed the Memphis Grizzlies 112-110 in the last 30 seconds.

Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Clippers won 112-98 at the Dallas Mavericks.
