Tom Brady offers high praise for Jaxson Dart

Since taking over as the starting quarterback in Week 4, Jaxson Dart has impressed many people across the NFL world.

You can include one of the greatest players in NFL history to that group.

Before calling the Week 8 game between the Giants and Eagles, FOX analyst (and seven-time Super Bowl champion) Tom Brady had some high praise for the 22-year-old quarterback.

"He's got all of those QB1 traits I look for,"Brady saidbefore the game. "What I like is all the things that come out of his mouth. I always look at quarterbacks and go, 'How would I answer that question?' When I hear Jaxson Dart, especially after last week's loss in Denver, it was the same way. He took accountability for the mistakes."

Dart threw for three touchdowns in the Week 7 loss in Denver while adding a fourth score on the ground. This came against an elite Broncos defense that entered the game having allowed just four passing touchdowns all season. It wasn't a perfect performance, though, as Dart completed just 45.5 percent of his passes and threw a key interception in the fourth quarter that quickly led to a Broncos touchdown.

Against the Eagles, the rookie threw for 193 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions and rushed for 17 yards and an additional touchdown. He became the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era with eight or more pass touchdowns, four or more rush touchdowns, and less than five turnovers in his first five career starts.

"He's also just this competitive kid," Brady said. "He said to me on the call this week, 'Tom, I'm not into moral victories. I've got to make better plays. The team's counting on me.' This organization loves him a lot. They're all invested in him. There's a lot of good reasons to be."
